About RepConnect
RepConnect is an AI chatbot that answers questions using your uploaded PDF and CSV/Excel files. It’s powered by FastAPI and OpenAI GPT with a clean Next.js interface. An admin dashboard lets you upload/update documents and manage users/permissions.
Add a New User (Admin)
Create users, assign roles, and control data visibility (e.g., show Retail only, hide Cost).
- Log in as an Admin. (Usernames and passwords are case-sensitive.)
- Open the Dashboard → Users section.
- Click Add New User.
- Choose a Role (Admin or User) and set Column Access.Many stores give sales users Retail Price only and hide Cost.
Search for Products
Use the Price List module for the quickest product lookup.
- Log in as a User. (Case-sensitive credentials.)
- From the main menu, open Price List.
- (Recommended) Select the Manufacturer first, then fill any known fields.
As you type, matching records appear.Tip: After each search, click Clear All Filters before starting a new one. - Review results at the bottom of the list. To open other modules, click the RepConnect logo to return to the main menu.
Price Bot & Chat with Store Docs
Ask natural questions about your product data—like texting a rep.
- Select Price Bot and click Start New Session.
- Choose any known options (e.g., Vendor/Manufacturer) to narrow results.
- Type your question (e.g., “Show details for style Agathos”)
Ask questions about non-price files you uploaded: rep contacts, warranty PDFs, freight tables, policies, etc.
Upload Price Lists (Admin)
Upload clean, well-structured CSVs (or mapped PDFs) and validate in a few clicks.
- Log in as Admin → open Price List from the Dashboard.
- Click Upload New File.
- Upload a CSV using the recommended template.Required fields: Manufacturer and Style Number.
Other fields are optional. Using the template ensures smooth mapping. - Let the AI engine process the upload (large files may take a few minutes).
- When status shows Mapped, click its title to proceed.If you don’t see it, refresh your browser.
- If you used the PDF template or the CSV template, fields should auto-match. Otherwise, adjust mappings as needed.
- Go to the Processed tab and click Validate Data.
- Use the ⓘ icon to make bulk edits per column (you can even clear a whole column).
- To add values for an entire column (e.g., Brand/Manufacturer), use the bulk add box.
- For quick math/markup (e.g., double Cut Price), use the Automate feature.
- Need bigger changes? Download the data, delete the upload, edit in your sheet tool, then re-upload the updated file.
